How to make easy salsa roja

Everyone loves a good salsa, and with this recipe you are sure to have everyone asking you to bring "chips and dip" to the next potluck. Be sure to stock up on those tortilla chips, or as we like to call them - salsa delivery boats.

Salsa roja

10 minutes
30 minutes
40 minutes
8 roma tomato
1 jalapeno
4 cloves garlic
1/2 onion large dice
1/2 cup cilantro rough chop
1/4 cup lime juice
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Throw everything into the blender and pulse, once everything is able to blend together allow to blend until a smooth with small chunks.
Put a sauce pot on medium high heat and add in oil. When oil becomes hot add in tomato mixture, stir and allow to simmer on medium low heat for 30 minutes. Be sure to stir salsa while on the stove to prevent from burning.
Cool and serve! or use as a topping!

Pro tip: Add in more chillies like serrano and/or habanero for more depth and heat!
